Student Budget Ideas:
1. Take advantage of student deals (museums, music clubs, events, plane tickets)
2. Find money-saving events during the time you’ll be there (i.e. nuit de musées)
3. Find free versions of the things you want to see (jazz club, gardens, museums)
4. Groceries more than eating out (set a daily food budget and keep track)
5. Eat breakfast at the hostel, maybe a snack in the middle of the day and have a meal in the evening
6. Travel agency deals
7. Check multiple websites for train tickets and book in advance quite early if possible
8. Keep an eye on notifications for train deals (ouigo specifically has a lot of these)
9. Carryon if your airline charges for luggage
10. Lunches instead of dinners
11. Take advantage of free cancellation whenever you can
12. Give yourself lots of time to sit down and book so you can check multiple places/apps for the best deals, don’t leave booking to the last minute for anything
13. Overnight trains instead of hotels (once or twice, definitely not every night)
14. Navigo semaine pass
