I’d love to share a day with you around the southwest of France. Perhaps we should drive to some wineries? Or to a painted cave? How about a chateau? How about all three? Yes, it’s possible! Let’s have a quick Zoom call to discuss it or click here to email me to start working out the best day trip for you.
Let’s look at some fantastic day trips we can do together from Toulouse:
Day trip to Cordes sur Ciel with stops at several wineries
8 AM start in Toulouse. One of the many things that’s great about Cordes sur Ciel is that it’s close to many wonderful wineries. We can visit Cordes, have lunch there, then meander our way through 2 or possibly 3 wineries on our way back to Toulouse. Return in Toulouse around 8 PM. 599€ for maximum 3 passengers.
Day Trip to Foix
8 AM start in Toulouse, drive to the Foix Chateau, then to the Niaux painted caves and a stop by a winery in Mirepoix plus a late afternoon visit quick visit to Mirepoix. The wines in this area are mostly reds. Return to Toulouse around 8 PM. 599€ for maximum 3 passengers.
Day trip to Saint Cirq Lapopie
8 AM start in Toulouse, drive to the Peche-Merle painted caves, then visit Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, and stop in Cahors for a wine visit. Also mostly red wines. Return to Toulouse around 8 PM. 599€ for maximum 3 passengers.
Day Trip to the Dordogne
Best scheduled on a Wed or Sat so we can enjoy the Sarlat market. This requires a longer drive time, so we need to get started at 7 AM and may not get back until 9 PM. But what a day it’ll be! We’ll see Sarlat-la-Canédat, Lascaux IV, Beynac-et-Cazenac and we can even make a stop for a wine visit around Cahors if you wish. 799€ for maxiumum 3 passengers.
