French Alps and Provence Tours, Episode 59

Categories: Lyon Area, Provence

UPTADE: Cynthia no longer offers this tour, but she in this episode she reveals great places you might want to include in your own visit of the French Alps and Provence.

This week we head to the French Alps with tour designer Cynthia Caughey. She lives in the Alps part-time with her French husband and has come to know it very well.

As a tour designer and leader myself, I know that what makes a tour great is the relationships a company makes with local providers. When you arrive in a restaurant with a group you will be greeted either with a frown or a big smile.

Knowing how to get to the big smile makes all the difference. And that is the reason why you might want to join a tour rather than visit on your own. To see the tours Annie and Elyse offer, check out Addicted to France.

French Alps and Provence Tours

Her company French Alps and Provence Tours offers two tours: one is the Alps exclusively, and the other is French Alps and Provence.

On the show we discuss both and I must say they sound like fun and action-packed tours, yet accessible to all. One of the attractions they take their visitors to is the Carrières de Lumières at Les-Baux-de-Provence, which I highly recommend.

  1. Oh my goodness! Touring this area sounds fabulous. My list of things to see and do when in France is getting longer and longer. The Join Us in France podcast is definitely number one in my book. Keep up the good work. 🙂

  2. Wow! Looks like a really beautiful part of France and I love the photos from the Carrieres de Lumiere art exhibit.
